  • The Quieting

This immersive interactive installation presents the evolution of the Hawaiian forest; a lava field, a rainforest full of life, a dry grassland. The viewer's presence and movement in the room alters what they see and hear. If there are too many visitors, the center screen becomes a skeleton forest devoid of life. The sound and animated elements in the piece underscores the delicate balancing act for Hawaiian birds singing in the trees and our connection to their survival or demise.
